Expanding AI agent connectivity is key to building seamless and scalable conversational experiences. With these new public REST APIs, users can send messages directly to Symphona Converse Agents, enabling deeper integration with custom chat widgets and backend data processing solutions.
What This Change Enables:
- Custom Chat Widget Integration & Messaging Flow – Users can now connect their own chat interfaces to Symphona Converse Agents, allowing complete control over the user experience while leveraging Symphona's powerful AI capabilities. Developers can start, send, and end conversation sessions programmatically, ensuring seamless interactions. The API provides structured responses, including session IDs, formatted AI responses, and error handling for session timeouts, invalid IDs, or closed sessions.
- Backend Service Connectivity – These APIs enable seamless backend data processing, allowing external services to interact with AI agents, automate workflows, and enhance conversational intelligence. API parameters support message contents, channel type, target agent ID, and user metadata (name, email, phone, ID) for richer AI interactions.
- Session-Based Conversations – API-driven conversations follow the same session timeout logic as Symphona chat widgets, ensuring efficiency and data consistency. Sessions automatically expire after 60 minutes of inactivity, preventing stale interactions and maintaining system performance.
These updates enhance data visibility, streamline conversation tracking, and provide AI agents with valuable user context, resulting in more efficient and personalized interactions.
